Deep Learning in Image Recognition for Optimizing Soybean Breeding

The application of deep learning in soybean breeding was explored using the optimization of image recognition technology for soybean variety identification and trait evaluation. First, a deep learning-based soybean image recognition system was constructed using a convolutional neural network (CNN) for feature extraction and classification of soybean images. A large amount of soybean image data was collected to classify and identify different varieties of soybeans, realizing efficient and accurate varietal identification. Deep learning technology was also applied to the evaluation of soybean traits, such as seed size and leaf morphology. Through the automated recognition and evaluation of soybean traits, the efficiency and accuracy of the breeding process were improved, which is an important technical method for soybean breeding.
