Simplifying Education of Reactive Programming Concepts Using Comparative Application

The reactive programming paradigm is the foundation for a wide area of systems used for data science, stream processing, the Internet of Things, simulation, and entertainment. Computer science and programming have noticeably advanced since the inception of this paradigm in the previous century, increasing the performance, reliability, and complexity of computer systems. A revisit of this topic is in place, with the goal of determining its benefits or drawbacks compared to other paradigms or approaches. In the past, these comparisons were performed, so we can easily compare our results if these differences shifted in any direction. Demonstration of these parameters on practical examples and student-led experiments can lead to an increase in understanding of compared paradigms and can motivate students to use them correctly in the future. Our findings and participant feedback highlight key conclusions. The simplified platform utilized in our experiment was analyzed and further adjusted based on these conclusions.
