Grid Engineering Full Lifecycle Application Based on GIM+GIS+IoT Data Fusion for New Power Systems

In the present work, the basic concepts, application scenarios, and current status of Grid Information Model (GIM), Geographic Information System (GIS), and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies are discussed. This paper also explores how these technologies contribute to the full lifecycle management of power grid engineering, covering demand assessment, scenario planning, data integration and management, system architecture, and deployment. To address information gaps, information silos, and inconsistent data standards in business processes, data flows, and information flows, a full lifecycle management system integrating GIM, GIS, and IoT data fusion technologies is developed. This system remarkably enhances the efficiency and stability of the power system, reduces operating costs, and improves service quality and user experience.
