An Evaluation System for Improving the Stability of the Receiving End System by Adding Condenser Function to Thermal Power Units

This paper presents a quantitative evaluation method for assessing the system stability of thermal power units after adding condenser function. An evaluation system for power system transient stability is developed, including the construction of evaluation indices, the establishment of the evaluation system, and rationality verification. Specifically, indicators are screened and weighted across five key dimensions: transient voltage, static voltage, power angle stability, power flow characteristics, and grid support capability, using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for comprehensive assessment. Finally, a CEPRI 36-node system model is established based on the PSASP platform, and the effectiveness and correctness of the method proposed in this article have been successfully verified.
