Low Carbon Economic Dispatch for Integrated Energy Systems with CCUS Power Plant

In order to promote energy decarbonization, the scheduling model to optimize integrated energy system (IES) based on CCUS power plant is proposed. Firstly, this paper proposes CCUS-P2G-CHP system with wind power and photovoltaic (PV) joint operation strategy, in which wind power and PV provide energy consumption for power-to-gas (P2G) equipment, and carbon dioxide captured by carbon capture equipment is utilized as raw material in P2G equipment, so wind power and PV could all be flexibly utilized. Then, optimal scheduling model of IES is developed taking into consideration of carbon trading mechanism provides incentives to reduce carbon emission and aiming to minimize the daily operating cost. Finally, an arithmetic example is used to verify that carbon emissions and system operating costs can be reduced by utilizing CCUS technology.
