Ka-Band Wideband Planar Integrated Circularly Polarized Magneto-Electric Dipole Antenna

This work proposes a wideband planar-integrated circularly polarized magneto-electric dipole antenna based on the Ka-band. Using a thin dielectric substrate microstrip slot-coupled feeding structure achieves circular polarization radiation through a pair of rotationally symmetric microstrip patches. We designed and fabricated a $4 \times 4$ antenna array by analyzing the antenna element. The measured impedance bandwidth is $37.4 \%$ (26.3 - 38.4 GHz), the 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth is 22.5% (26.4-33.1 $\mathbf{G H z}$), and the peak gain within the band is $\mathbf{1 7} \mathbf{d B i c}$.
