Influence of Temperature and Dust on the Performance of Photovoltaic Panels at Various Elevations

Astract- This paper examines the effects of temperature and dust deposition on the efficacy of photovoltaic panels. A 50-watt monocrystalline solar panel was evaluated at di-verse temperatures and dust conditions at various elevations to determine its performance. The results indicate that rising temperatures cause a reduction in photovoltaic efficiency, with voltage diminishing at a quicker rate than current, hence limiting power production. The collection of dust, especially fine particles, markedly diminishes panel efficiency by obscuring sunlight. Raising the panel enhanced cooling, alleviating thermal impacts. These findings underscore the necessity of improving photovoltaic panel positioning and conducting regular maintenance to improve performance in adverse climatic conditions.
