Analog CMOS Implementation of Margin Propagation Algorithm Using Switched Capacitor Approach

The margin propagation (MP) technique is implemented uniquely in this study by utilizing switched capacitor circuits to transfer charge. Employing charge conservation to achieve the reverse water-filling principle, the MP algorithm, well-known for its effective piecewise linear approximation to the log-sum-exp function, is used in this application. The reverse water-filling process is efficiently followed by the suggested circuit designed using CMOS 180 nm Technology, as shown by simulation results, which yield desirable outcomes. Furthermore, an exhaustive assessment of the circuit’s correctness confirms its effectiveness in real-world uses, which advances the field of circuit design for efficient algorithmic approximation.
