Design and Implementation of ZrO2 based ceramic MIMO antenna for smart cities in n257 and n261 Bands

This article showcases the design of circularly polarized and highly isolated ceramic-based MIMO antenna for millimeter wave application. Modified U shape radiator is used to the excite the ceramic Zr02 radiator. The proposed ceramic loaded design operates in the wide frequency band of 27.5 GHz -34 GHz. The suggested design highlights followings key feature (i) The antiparallel orientation of the antenna provides isolation $\gt45 \mathrm{~dB}$ at 28 GHz (ii) A positive again is achieved throughout the operating band, with maximum gain of 4 dBi. (iii) Generation of fundamental of modes ${\mathrm {HE}}11\delta$ at operating frequencies of 28 GHz leading to the diverse radiation pattern. The consistent radiation characteristics and elevated diversity parameter (ECC, DG and TARC) values of the proposed antenna render it a suitable option for 5G Internet of Things sensing applications.
