Nemus Radar: Full-Digital AESA for Military Vehicle Protection

Any military vehicle, whether it is a Main Battle Tank (MBT), Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV, VCR), Armored Personnel Carrier (APC), Combat Support Vehicle (CSV) or Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) is subjected to an increasing number of threats while operating in conflict zones. These threats present great variability in attack distance, speed, overall dynamics and penetration capacity, which makes effective multithreat protection a crucial factor in the security of operations. In this article we present the latest development made by Indra in the field of multi-threat detection and identification, the Nemus, an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar. Capable of adapting to any type of threat, Nemus radar is designed to be integrated into any Active Protection System (APS), allowing a truly effective protection of the vehicle against the threats of the present and foreseeable future.
