Driving Circuit Design with Pulse-Width Modulation for Ultrasonic Shot Peening

To address the issue of resonant frequency drift in an ultrasonic shot peening system caused by heat during operation, a pulse-width modulation signal circuit has been designed using the SG3525 integrated PWM control chip. First, a voltage-controlled frequency precision adjustment method is proposed based on the source-follower principle. Furthermore, a frequency prediction formula based on the parallel total current method is derived according to the frequency modulation principle with multiple adjustable branches. Finally, an experimental platform is constructed to evaluate the frequency modulation performance under different ambient temperatures. The results demonstrate that this frequency modulation circuit effectively resolves the problem of resonant frequency drift in operation for ultrasonic shot peening transducers.
