Design and Fabrication of Low Frequency Flexible Transducers with High Bandwidth and Flexibility

Expanding the imaging field of view of medical probes helps doctors conduct more comprehensive examinations due to the larger visualization range. This paper presents a flexible-rigid dual-backing process for optimizing the bandwidth and flexibility of a 3MHz low-frequency flexible variable curvature phased array (FCPA) on the abdomen. The results show that FCPA has a bandwidth of up to 67.7% and high flexibility, which can achieve dynamic adjustment of the imaging field of view within 120°. The axial and lateral resolutions of phased array (PA) 30° and field of view 120° are 0.35mm and 0.77mm, 0.36mm and 1.02mm at depth of 80mm respectively. The CNR is 1.622.
