Key Technologies for Improving the Imaging Quality of Concrete Inspection Based on Total Focusing

Concrete, is prone to strong structural noise during ultrasonic inspection, which reduces the SNR and is detrimental to the inspection and determination of damages. A concrete ultrasonic array inspection method was proposed here. Firstly, the actual detection signal is digitally compensated and filtered to remove the probe ringing effect and recover the defect reflection echo; Then, by using TR processing to enhance the defect echo, the signal-to-noise ratio at the defect site was increased by approximately 7.6 dB; Next, the PCI algorithm will be used to correct the defect echo phase, further improving the signal-to-noise ratio by about 8.1 dB; Finally, high-resolution imaging of concrete structures is achieved through TMF.
