Switchgear Fault Analysis and Partial Discharge Detection of Based on Signal Processing

Switchgear is the most direct equipment in the substation to supply power to the distribution network and users. Once a failure occurs, it will cause electricity difficulties for factories, residents and other users, thus seriously affecting the economic and social development, as well as the image of the power company. In this paper, a defect diagnosis of the 10 kV switchgear of a substation is carried out through UHF detection. The UHF signal analysis and processing approach were used to identify the latent defects of the switchgear. Through disintegration of this switchgear, the effectiveness of the approach is demonstrated, which is prospective for the electrical development.
