Basic Principles of Creation of Biomimetic Glass-Ceramic Materials for Dental Use

Biomimetic approaches in the development of dental restorative materials were analyzed with the involvement of materials science approaches, aspects of tissue engineering and additive technologies. The main types of biomimetic materials for restoration of defects of dental defects, for direct restoration, for indirect restoration were analyzed. A methodological approach has been developed for the creation of biomimetic glass-ceramic materials for restorative dentistry, which consists in ensuring the flow of processes of osseointegration and biomechanics, which is determined by the chemical and phase composition of the material and its structure, energy, electrochemical properties and surface topography. Nanostructured glass-ceramic materials based on lithium calcium phosphate silicate glasses modified with zinc oxide and fluorite were developed. The formation of the structure of biomimetic glass- ceramic materials based on fluorapatite and lithium disilicate under conditions of low-temperature heat treatment was investigated and their prospects for use in the development of materials for restorative dentistry were established. The introduction of biomimetic principles in the creation of vitreous materials for dentistry will lead to the preservation of the natural structure of the tooth, the increase in the service life of restorative structures, the reduction of complications and the need for repeated treatment.
