The importance of good healthcare in any country cannot be debated and like any other field, technological advancements are rapidly taking over the healthcare industry. In this shifting scenario, healthcare practitioners are looking for cost-effective, easily accessible ways to learn and practice medicine without posing a danger to patients’ health. AR and VR systems can provide applications and products that can effectively imitate healthcare situations. This paper explores the AR and VR applications that enhance the medical education and training of professionals. The work also defines the flow of development of an AR model for medical training and education.
