A Blockchain-Based Framework for Securing Digital Documents Using Off-chain Attribute-Based Encryption

Preventing unwanted access and tampering is essential to digital document security. This study introduces an innovative approach that combines blockchain technology with an off-chain attribute-based encryption (ABE) framework to strengthen digital document security. There are seven different categories of digital papers: travel documents, health records, financial documents, legal documents, educational certificates, and automobile registrations, among others. Documents can be uploaded by users to off-chain storage. In order to access documents, organizations need to navigate attribute-based encryption on the off-chain platform. The combined off-chain and on-chain architecture is designed to optimize blockchain throughput while using user processing power. The framework that is being suggested will control the availability of electronic documents and provide users with a trackable setting so that they can keep an eye on which companies are accessing and using materials. In the end, this framework seeks to improve users' digital rights by offering strong control and supervision over document access and usage.
