Design and Analysis of a Frequency-Selective Surface with Closely Resonant Bands inspired by the Oxalis tetraphylla

In this paper, we present a Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) inspired by the shape of Oxalis tetraphylla for applications with closely resonant bands for WLAN and 5G communication systems. The numerical results obtained were two frequencies: 2.41 GHz with a bandwidth of 420 MHz and 3.47 GHz with a bandwidth of 180 MHz. In the measurements, the frequencies were 2.44 GHz with a bandwidth of 330 MHz and 3.47 GHz with a bandwidth of 130 MHz, respectively. The FSS showed angular stability and polarization insensitivity for oblique angles up to 30°.
