An Analysis of Electronic Circuits Diagram Using Computer Vision Techniques

They often encounter circuit diagrams in the form of PDF files or pictures, which they use reference circuits to illustrate electronic component attributes and standardize symbols [2], to analyze their work. Most reference circuits are in PDF format. However, analyzing electronic circuits can be time-consuming and challenging, especially the obtained accuracy of electronic values. This research proposes using computer vision and image processing to calculate electronic circuits from images, which reduces time and increases accuracy in analyzing electronic circuits. Analyzing electronic analysis theory is also shown through this reference [3]. This research aims to decrease the time required to analyze electronic circuits and enhance the accuracy of electronic values obtained from image analysis. Computer vision and image processing technologies are being used to accomplish this goal. To understand image processing principles, this reference explains relevant theories [4] [5]. The methodology involves preprocessing images or PDF files to extract data for the main process. The main process utilizes object detection, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) training, and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to identify the types of electronic components in the circuit. The reference explains CNN principles studied to improve research efficiency [6]. This research shows that the analysis time is significantly reduced compared to manually creating circuits using simulation programs. Furthermore, the accuracy of the analysis is evaluated against manual analysis by humans and the time taken from the start of circuit creation to obtaining analysis values. This method significantly reduces the time required to analyze circuits from images to electronic values and identifies any components within the circuit. As a result, this research contributes to making electronic circuit analysis more efficient and rapid in the electronics field.
