Technology on Face Recognition in the Hospitality Industry: How Do Employees Perceived This Technology?

Face recognition is a technological invention that is rapidly being used in a variety of fields, including employee attendance and access control. The study employs the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework to investigate how perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness of technology influence employee attitudes and usage intentions. This study focuses on facial recognition as a technique for influencing employee attitudes and behavior in reaction to changes induced by external sources. This study employed a purposive sample methodology at five-star hotels and food and beverage businesses and the SEMPLS analysis method. It is believed that the findings of this study will provide additional insight into the elements that influence people's intentions to utilize facial recognition technology in the workplace, as well as advice for businesses to promote the use of this technology more successfully. According to research findings, using facial recognition with TAM demonstrates that perceived ease of use represents employee attitudes toward use, resulting in positive and significant behavioral intentions. This study's practical results and theoretical contributions will aid in developing and applying facial recognition technologies in workplace human resource management.
