Chineseway Apps as Chinese Vocabulary Learning Tools

The Chineseway application is an effective tool for learning basic Mandarin vocabulary. This research explores user perspectives on its design and efficacy in language learning. The application uses flashcards and mnemonic techniques to enhance memory recall. Through surveys and interviews, users’ feedback reveals the application's potential in engaging learners and delivering practical outcomes. The well-designed interface and mnemonic approach create an interactive learning experience. The study confirms the efficacy of the flashcard-based learning method, improving vocabulary retention. The mnemonic technique aids users in recalling learned vocabulary, further enhancing the learning process. The Chinese Way apps were applied to 24 students, all of whom were very enthusiastic when doing the exercises on Chineseway and all their answers were correct. Overall, this research substantiates the Chineseway apps as a valuable tool for Mandarin language acquisition. Incorporating user feedback will enhance its effectiveness and user satisfaction, showcasing the power of innovative learning media in language acquisition. A suggestion for future research is to expand the vocabulary in Chinese Apps according to the topics studied in textbooks. Apart from that, the number of respondents also increased.
