Discussion on condition assessment method of hydropower units based on weighted evaluation and multi-dimensional evaluation of components

On the basis of the guidelines for state maintenance management of hydroelectric power units, the main components of the unit and the secondary equipment system are evaluated separately through component weighted evaluation and multidimensional evaluation methods, forming an implementable quantitative and qualitative combined state evaluation standard system. The idea of weighted scoring is introduced in the component weighted evaluation method, which is suitable for devices with characteristic state parameters and easy to quantify. The multidimensional evaluation method is applicable to secondary equipment systems, and eight dimensions are set according to the characteristics of the equipment to rate the health status of the equipment. At the same time, the weighted score rate and multidimensional evaluation level of the components of the unit are linked to the health status of the unit in the maintenance guidelines to guide the maintenance strategy of the unit. The new state assessment method has been applied and tested in large and medium-sized hydropower stations, achieving good results.
