Fall Detection and Heart Rate (FaDaHer) Monitoring System for Elderly

This paper introduces Fall Detection and Heart Rate (FaDaHer), a health monitoring system designed specifically for the elderly. As valuable members of society who have dedicated their lives to family and community, the elderly possess a wealth of experience and knowledge that can benefit future generations. However, aging often brings health challenges, including heart disease. To address these concerns, this project aims to design a system that is capable of monitoring vital signs like heart rate and pulse rate. By utilizing a NodeMCU microcontroller and various sensors, the device can detect anomalies in these parameters and send alerts to caregivers. Additionally, the collected data can be analyzed to identify early signs of heart disease. The system can distinguish between different activities, such as sitting, standing, and falling, and set thresholds for normal and abnormal heart rates. Ultimately, this project seeks to improve the health and safety of the elderly by enabling early detection and intervention for heart-related conditions.
