Dynamic Resource Allocation in Edge Computing Using Double Auction Mechanism

Technological advancements have drastically in-creased data generation, requiring immediate processing to extract insights. While cloud computing has transformed data handling, it faces issues like high latency and bandwidth usage. To address these, Edge computing has emerged, processing data closer to the source. By executing tasks at the network edge, it reduces processing time and ensures Quality of Service (QoS). This paper explores dynamic application allocation to edge nodes, optimizing resource utilization through a double auction mechanism, where providers and consumers bid competitively. Theoretical foundations are discussed, and simulations validate the mechanism's efficiency in resource allocation.
