Simulation of Multimodal Piezoelectric Energy Harvester for Bio-Medical Applications

Globally, the flexible piezoelectric energy harvesting systems convert the physical human body movement into electrical energy as a wearable electronics device. Even though, it has less efficiency at lower vibration frequency applications for electrical power generation. Here a curve-shaped piezoelectric generator with exceptional powergenerating capabilities has been developed for wearable applications, boasting remarkable power generation capabilities. We conducted a simulation of a curved piezoelectric generator, which resulted in significantly higher output power. In this paper, at a frequency up to 35 Hz, it generated a peak electrical response of 45 V and 0.025 mA during one cycle. The curved structure played a pivotal role in improving power generation. A curved piezoelectric generator optimized for wearable applications, overcoming past limitations in power generation and efficiency. This invention opens up new possibilities for traditional piezoelectric generators and sets the stage for self-powered systems, especially in the field of wearable electronics.
