Assessment and Intervention for Children with Autism: Are AI Technology Interventions Effective?

At present, the prevalence of autistic children remains high globally and shows an increasing trend year by year, causing a huge burden on the society. However, traditional autism intervention methods are facing a series of challenges, including the lack of human resources, uneven abilities of interventionists, and intervention methods are mostly limited to individual cases. To address these challenges, AI technology has gradually shown its importance in the field of autism intervention in recent years. This paper comprehensively explores the practical application of AI technology in autism intervention, analyzes the feasibility and potential of AI technology in this field from multiple dimensions such as early warning, assessment to intervention, and also discusses in-depth the challenges and dilemmas that AI technology may face.
