Fusion of Ascending and Descending Lutan-1 for Building Extraction in decision level

Recent years, SAR has been widely utilized in building extraction for it can provide rich spatial information and cannot be influenced by weather. However, most researchers only use one single orbit of SAR, which can be significantly affected by SAR shadow and layover. Using both ascending and descending SAR can effectively resolve this problem for they contain complementary information from opposite site. Meanwhile, the fusion method is important for the extraction. Therefore, in this manuscript, we proposed a novel method for applying both ascending and descending SAR in decision level. Lutan-1 is utilized for its high resolution and stability. We reached the precision as 92.87%, while that for only use ascending and descending SAR are 86.20% and 83.45% respectively. This result indicates that our proposed method can effectively extract buildings and shows the opportunities of Lutan-1 in more fields.
