The handheld potentiostats with electrochemical impedance and cyclic voltammetry

While commercially available potentiostats are expensive, annd traditional electrodes aren’t conducive to independent research, and are bulky, a simple handheld potentiostat using simple electronic components can help us test unknown chemicals when needed. We have integrated electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) analysis circuits into the same device, and we are able to send data to a mobile app via Bluetooth to view the measurement results in real time. The proposed device consists of an ESP32 microprocessor, a CV measurement circuit, a lithium battery charging circuit, a lithium battery, a port for the Bluetooth communication module, and a port for the electrochemical impedance measurement module.
