An Investigation into the Current Status and Mitigation Strategies of Digital Transformation for Primary School Teachers Based on the Diffusion of Innovations Theory

In the context of the rapid development of information technology, educational digital transformation has become a critical path to promote education modernization and improve education quality. This study employs a questionnaire combined with interviews to investigate the stage characteristics of primary school teachers in the process of educational digital transformation based on the Diffusion of Innovations theory. The survey finds that although the innovation diffusion of educational digitization has successfully crossed the cognitive and persuasive stages, it faces challenges such as rapid technological updates, compatibility between digitalized teaching and routine work, and inadequate professional support for advanced applications during the subsequent application process of decision-making and implementation. These challenges hinder the progress of digital transformation to some extent. To address these issues, this study proposes strategies such as enhancing technological compatibility and application demonstration, systematic design following the laws of innovation diffusion, and strengthening social support and communication channels. The aim is to promote teachers' digital transformation and professional literacy, thus laying a solid foundation for improving overall education quality.
