Design of Emotion Recognition and Oral Assessment Module for Intelligent Spoken Language Learning Platform

English oral instruction in traditional classroom settings in non-native English-speaking countries faces limitations due to factors such as teaching resources, instructional methods, and learning environments. Consequently, the quality of instruction often varies, leaving many university students without sufficient opportunities to practice oral skills and apply what they learn in daily conversations. The recent advancements in online education present an opportunity to address the challenges encountered in traditional oral instruction. In response to these issues, this paper proposes the development of a novel intelligent speech teaching system aimed at providing students with efficient and convenient oral learning environments. The key aspects of this research involve exploring the motivational role of learner emotions in the oral learning process and developing an automated speech assessment model.
