Research on a WebGL-based 3D Intelligent Traffic Intersection Visualization System

Road traffic is an essential part of human society; as urbanization accelerates, traffic issues increasingly become a significant bottleneck for urban development. To facilitate traffic management, leveraging the advantages of the next-generation Web 3D graphics standard WebGL, combined with the flexible interface design of the Quasar framework and the GPU hardware-accelerated 3D graphics library Three.js, a WebGL-based 3D Intelligent Traffic Intersection Visualization System has been designed. The main functions of this system include digitizing the actual road traffic system to create a virtual model resembling reality, enabling arbitrary rotation and translation of the 3D intersection model on the Web, as well as scaling the model up and down. Additionally, selecting the information display of road infrastructure serves as the main interactive design, presenting data such as fault records, traffic light timing, and violation information in a more intuitive manner.
