Application of tissue chip in the production of positive controls

The purpose of this document is to introduce the application of manual tissue microarrays in the production of immunohistochemistry (IHC) positive tissue controls for ALK, P16, HER2, and EBER in paraffin sections in the Department of Pathology. Then, this article describes the techniques and applications for the production and sectioning of positive control tissue microarrays of paraffin tissue. Manual tissue microarrays include the following advantages over traditional positive control tissue production methods and fully automated tissue microarrays: ease of use, portability, speed, standardization, and low cost.
