Ground-Based Radar Imaging for Space Debris Based on Generalized Radon Fourier Transform

To solve the issue of space debris detection and imaging, a ground-based radar (GBR) imaging method for space debris based on the generalized radon fourier transform (GRFT) is proposed in this paper. First, the geometric model and signal model are established by using the prior information of high-speed spin of space debris. Subsequently, an improved GRFT method was proposed and successfully applied to space debris imaging. This method fully exploits the amplitude and phase information of the radar-received signal and belongs to coherent integration. Compared with traditional generalized radon transform (GRT) methods, this method can effectively reduce sidelobes and improve noise resistance. Finally, the simulation experiments verified the effectiveness of the proposed method.
