Preliminary Exploration of 3D Imaging Capability of the MSJosSAR

Tomographic Synthetic Aperture Radar (TomoSAR) is a multidimensional information processing technique capable of distinguishing scattering objects in the vertical dimension and obtaining three-dimensional information from diverse environments such as urban areas and forests. This paper proposes a process for three-dimensional back projection(3DBP) tomographic reconstruction, leveraging the scalability of the two-dimensional time-domain projection algorithm in elevation. By integrating real data from a new type of airborne SAR system named Multidimensional Space Joint-observation SAR (MSJosSAR), preliminary results of three-dimensional reconstruction of buildings are presented and subjected to comparative analysis. The experiments demonstrate that under low signal-to-noise ratio conditions, 3DBP can effectively restore building structures, showing superior reconstruction performance compared to the OMP algorithm. This paper validates the feasibility of the proposed method and provides initial verification of the three-dimensional imaging capability of MSJosSAR system.
