Covert Communication Parasitized in SAR Signal Based on Active Frequency Selective Surface

Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is an active microwave remote sensing technology with the advantages of all-day and all-weather operation, enabling the acquisition of high-resolution and large-scale surface reflectance information. Active Frequency Selective Surface (AFSS) consists of wave-absorbing metamaterials controllable by an external excitation source and is widely used in communication and stealth fields. This paper explores a covert communication method parasitized in SAR signal based on AFSS and presents a preliminary analysis of its communication performance. This method offers a novel approach for submarine communication or other scenarios requiring low communication rates but high communication security.
