Key Technologies for Multi-Pathing in High-Reliability Multi-Controller Storage Systems

Enterprise level applications have very strict requirements for the reliability of data storage. Multi control storage systems use redundant hardware to achieve high reliability of storage devices, while high reliability of transmission links needs to be guaranteed through multiple paths. A multipath technology family is proposed to address the issues of the inability of the operating system's built-in multipath software to optimize paths in conjunction with the multi control storage system, as well as the limited display of path information. This family utilizes logical unit number aggregation, path detection technology, path state adjustment technology, and path scaling technology to select and switch the optimal path for the multi control storage system, thereby achieving uninterrupted and high reliability of storage system services.
