Analysis of influencing factors based on ultrasonic drilling mud density detection

To optimize the accuracy of ultrasonic drilling mud density testing, we investigated the effects of emission frequency, particle size, and temperature on the test results. Through COMSOL Multiphysics simulation, we analysed the role of these factors on the ultrasonic attenuation rate and discussed the changing law of multi-parameter combinations. The simulation results reveal the relationship between the attenuation rate and spectrum, particle size and temperature, and the experimental data verify the effect of temperature. This study lays a theoretical foundation for improving the accuracy of ultrasonic density measurement.
