Simulation Study of Fitting String Energy Consumption in High Voltage Transmission Line

In the current transmission system, the wire clamp of fittings uses aluminum alloy, while the rest is still steel. Due to the high resistivity of steel, it may lead to a large power loss. This study proposes to replace all the steel parts in the fitting with aluminum alloy, and compare the energy consumption change of the fitting before and after the replacement through theoretical calculation and simulation analysis. The results show that the conductivity of aluminum alloy is better than that of steel, which can effectively reduce the power loss and reduce the weight of the equipment. Furthermore, the effect of material replacement on the mechanical properties of the fittings is discussed in this study. The final conclusion shows that the use of aluminum alloy can improve the energy efficiency of transmission lines while maintaining the structural stability of the fittings.
