An Edge Control Based Communication Network Architecture in New Power Systems

With the rapid advancement of new power systems, the scale of various control and data services for substations is continuously expanding, which brings significant pressure on communication. Particularly, the existing electric communication network has a limited ability to integrate sensing, communication, control, and computation, which reduces resource utilization efficiency. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a communication network architecture designed for high-frequency data collection in the new power system. Firstly, we design an edge control based hierarchical communication architecture, considering various networking technologies, terminals and services. Additionally, to improve data collection efficiency, we discuss some key methods such as resource reuse and wired-wireless parallel transmission methods for the electrical privacy network.
