Design of an IoT-Based Remote Monitoring System for Injection Molding Machine Clamping Force

In order to solve problems such as product flash, tie rod breakage, mold wear, machine damage, and safety accidents caused by inappropriate clamping force applied during the injection molding production process, the article designs and implements a remote monitoring system for injection molding machine clamping force based on the Internet of Things. The system consists of a data collection terminal, a 4G Cat.1 communication module, and a remote server. The data collection terminal utilizes four clamping force sensors to measure the clamping force of the four Green columns of the injection molding machine. The sensor signals are converted and processed using a signal conditioning module and analog input circuit. CH32V307 is used as the microcontroller to collect clamping force information, which is transmitted to the remote server via the 4G Cat.1 communication module. On one hand, the remote server receives and parses data, displaying it on the interface. On the other hand, it stores the data in a database for subsequent querying and analysis of historical data. Threshold parameter information set on the remote server can be fed back to the data collection terminal to complete warning judgment and remote alarm. Test results indicate that the system operates stably with reliable data transmission, enabling accurate remote monitoring of clamping force with a measurement accuracy of up to 0.493%. It effectively improves product quality, enhances production efficiency, and reduces energy consumption.
