Research on Vapor Cell Geometry Effect of Rydberg Atomic Microwave Electric Field Sensor

The Rydberg atom microwave electric field meter has many advantages over traditional methods of measurement in terms of accuracy, bandwidth and spatial resolution. The atomic vapor cell acts as a container for Rydberg atoms, different shapes and wall thicknesses also affect the distribution of microwave electric field in the cell. In this paper, the experimental principle of atomic microwave electric field meter is introduced first, and then the change of the spatial distribution of microwave electric field caused by atomic vapor cell with different shapes and wall thicknesses is studied by simulation, the influence of polarization direction of microwave electric field on measurement uncertainty is analyzed.
