A Split-Phase Inverter Design with Midpoint Potential Balance

This paper proposes a split-phase inverter based on a T-type three-level topology, addressing the issue of neutral point voltage fluctuation by designing a voltage balancing control scheme. Through the proper design of modulation strategies and LC filters, the system's output waveform and harmonic suppression capabilities are optimized. The paper elaborates on the working principles of the inverter, control strategies, and hardware parameter design. The proposed balance control ensures system stability and dynamic response under different load conditions. Experimental results show that the inverter achieves excellent output performance in both symmetric and asymmetric load scenarios, with total harmonic distortion (THD) below 5%, confirming the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.
