Self-Cutting T-LCL/LCC Constant-Current Constant-Voltage Wireless Power Transmission System

Due to its excellent power levels and efficiency characteristics over medium to short distances and a wide power range, Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) systems have become a primary research focus in the field of wireless energy transmission. The constant current/constant voltage output features of WPT systems are increasingly crucial in applications such as electric vehicles (EVs) and LED lighting. Most compensation networks in WPT systems are high-order resonance circuits. Within high-order resonance networks, various resonance network structures exist to achieve voltage and current outputs independent of the load. Analyzing these resonance network structures is crucial for achieving efficient constant voltage/constant current modes independent of the load. Addressing the charging characteristics of lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles, which involve constant current followed by constant voltage charging, this paper proposes a control method utilizing the T-LCL/LCC compensation network configuration to achieve constant current and constant voltage outputs at the same frequency in WPT systems. By employing a generic high-order resonance network modeling approach, simultaneous characteristics of voltage and current transfer independent of the load can be obtained. Furthermore, the study analyzes whether the system can operate at low power consumption after the receiver is open-circuited or short-circuited and after the charging process is complete.
