Design and Research of Real-Time Perception for Intelligent Power-Assisted Bicycles Based on Fuzzy Control

This paper introduces an electric-assist bicycle equipped with a power management system that utilizes fuzzy control technology. The system dynamically adjusts motor assistance power based on real-time parameters such as cycling speed, cadence, and road gradient. A Mamdani-based fuzzy logic controller is used to modulate the output of the lithium battery. The primary goal is to improve safety and comfort during cycling while minimizing rider muscular fatigue. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed power management approach significantly enhances the comfort and safety of urban cycling.
