Trust Evaluation Mechanism of Terminal Device in Industrial Edge Computing Environment

Edge computing has been widely introduced into industrial networks, which not only provides low-latency and high-bandwidth network communication capabilities for industrial networks, but also provides a huge number of interfaces for terminal devices to access industrial networks. Therefore, how to ensure the terminal devices in the industrial edge computing environment are trustworthy is a challenge that needs to be solved urgently presently. In order to solve the problem that legitimate terminal devices may send untrustworthy data during network operation, a trust evaluation mechanism based on comprehensive trust evaluation was designed in this paper. The mechanism primarily calculates the trust value based on the integrity of terminal device data and categorizes trust level, thereby realizing sustainable monitoring of the security status of terminal devices under industrial edge computing environment and guaranteeing the accuracy of the trust value of the terminal device is realized. On this basis, the mechanism was validated and analyzed through a test platform. The results verified that the proposed trusted access mechanism has both stable feasibility and good reliability.
