ARValidat - Application for Checking the Status of CAD Assemblies in AR

The use of AR technology is now commonplace in industrial practice, whether it is for assembly, maintenance, human-robot collaboration or employee training. This paper presents the design and implementation of ARValidat, an augmented reality application for checking the validation status of structural assemblies. It combines an authentic view of the assembly prepared in CAD software in AR with a graphical display of the validation results. This contributes to an easier understanding of errors associated with the constructed assembly, such as missing or unfilled customer-required parameters, and improves communication between 3D designers and project managers or customers.
