Advanced 5L-ANPC Converter Design for PV Applications

The multilevel inverter concept discussed in this project is a well-liked solution for high-power requests such as motor drives, UPS, solar and wind renewable energy systems, and EV charging. One of the most popular types of multilevel inverters is the five-level active neural point clamped converter (5L-ANPC), which combines a neural point converter with a flying capacitors type converter using four series capacitors to generate an output with fewer harmonics and higher quality. For unity power applications like PV, the 6S-5L-ANPC topology with six active switches is preferable to the typical 5L-ANPC because it creates eight active switches, making the circuit simpler and less expensive. A MATLAB SIMULINK can be used to design and get output waveforms.
