Ballistic Missile Threat Modeling and VHF Radar Detection Performance Analysis for Tactical-Level Air Defense Simulator

In the paper, an approach to ballistic missile threat modeling for surface-to-air missile system (SAMS) personnel tactical-level combat trainer is described. Since air defense ballistic missile warfare is a major challenge from both the technical and decision-making perspective, a multifaceted problem statement to threat modeling is presented to ensure high realism of training scenarios. Furthermore, the exemplary results of the computations performed for a generic medium-range ballistic missile model and VHF radar station are shown.
