Research on Abnormal Forward and Reverse Control of H-bridge Drive Circuit

A certain product uses an H-bridge drive circuit to control the forward and reverse rotation of a DC motor. During the test, there were frequent faults where the output current of the product did not follow the control command when controlling the motor’s forward and reverse rotation. In order to locate the cause of the fault, this article first introduces the principle of the H bridge drive circuit, then conducts fault diagnosis based on the principle, and finally locates that the input commutation signal is affected by noise. In order to further explore the fault mechanism, simulation was conducted on the forward and reverse control of the H-bridge drive circuit. Through simulation, it was further confirmed that the fault was caused by an incorrect grounding of the ground wire, which made it susceptible to noise interference, accumulating valuable experience for subsequent circuit improvement.
