Energy router-based hybrid AC/DC microgrid coordinated control and SOC balancing strategies

Energy routers are key devices for plug-and-play and flexible power management, which has been wildly applied in the integration of distributed energy resources. This paper presents a hybrid AC/DC microgrid based on energy router which acts as the interface between AC and DC microgrid, also for electric power consumer and distribution grid. The related control strategies for seamless transitions between various modes are proposed to ensure the robustness of the system. A battery state of charge balancing strategy based on the fuzzy logic controller is developed to realize optimal power sharing and prolong battery life. The real-time simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed strategies, demonstrating the satisfactory performance of the energy router-based hybrid system.
